Pulitzer Prize win for Goon Squad

We are delighted by the news that A Visit from the Goon Squad has won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction 2011, the judges describing the book as “an inventive investigation of growing up and growing old in the digital age, displaying a big-hearted curiosity about cultural change at warp speed.”

This tops a wonderful few months for Jennifer Egan, who last month beat Jonathan Franzen’s hotly-tipped Freedom to the NBCC Award for Fiction 2011.
